  – I didn't know but, he's been curiously fond on Aly so that might be why – she rolled her eyes –. Speaking of which, I must go back I left her alone with your brother

  – I'll go with you, I want to meet Aly

  – Okay, let's

  Briar and Rae walked out of the bathroom and then of the building to get to the bench where the squad was located.

  – Aly, there's somebody right beside me that wants to meet you

  – Who's that?

  – Hi Aly! I'm Rae, Finn's sister

  – Hey – she smiled and offered her hand to the front

  – Nice meeting you – Rae had to move a step to the left to shake her hand properly

  – Same – Aly retrieved her hand –. I was just about to ask your brother when I was going to meet you

  – Never if it depended on him

  – You know me so well, sister – he smirked

  – You're such a douche – she rolled her eyes

  – You can go now

  – I will just because I'm hungry not because you tell me to

  – Thanks

  – I'll see you later girls

  – Bye – the twin sisters said it at the unison

  Once Aly heard Rae was out of the picture she opened her mouth.

  – I'm hungry – she sighed –. And your sister is nice, Finn

  – Sometimes – he said making the girl of the amber eyes smile

  – Here – Briar took her sister's hand to put her sandwich in it

  – Thank you – she said taking a bite

  – So, what you girls want to do this weekend? – He asked as Briar took her lunch out

  – What do you have in mind?

  – Nothing illegal, please

  – It's pretty innocent

  – Good morning ladies – Bastian came into the picture before Finn could tell the twins about his awesome plans  –. And Finn – he joked

  – Hey mate

  – Tell us your idea come on don't leave me like this! – Aly whined

  – I was thinking about a visit to a zoo where you can touch the animals or Bondi beach – he scratched the back of his neck, nervous.

  Bastian wanted to laugh. "He's in love with one of those two!" He thought

  – When?

  – What about Saturday?

  – Good idea – Briar nodded

  – Mate, I need you to help me get something from my locker – Bastian said to his friend next to him

  Finn narrowed his eyes looking confused and he nodded even if he knew his friend was lying.

  – We'll be right back, girls – Finn took Bastian by the arm and once they were in a building far enough he wanted him to talk –. I know that you have nothing that needs my help so what do you want?

  – Okay, mate – he sighed putting his hands up in faked surrender –. Which of them do you fancy?

  – I beg your pardon?

  – Mate, you want to spend a day of our precious weekend with them so spill it out

  – I was just trying to be nice!

  – It is Briar, isn't it?

  – I don't know what you're talking about – Finn looked at his friend's eyes being deathly serious

  – Okay don't tell me but just for the record Alyssa is mine

  – She knows you're a bully, she won't take you to consideration

  – How, Finn? – Bastian asked Finn didn't say a word –. Do you want me to test my bully skills with you?

  – Because Lily told them – he blurted out

  – Did they believe her?

  – Yes, they did – he nodded –. You do have the bully face, mate

  – Really?

  – Yes and you don't have a chance with them

  – Whatever you say, tell them I'll see them outside to take them home later

  Finn didn't say anything and just turned to walk back to the sisters. Briar narrowed her eyes at him.

  – What was the thing he wanted help with? – The brunette of blue eyes was glancing at him in a way that just demanded answers.

  "Was she spying us? Did she hear?"

  And more questions were taking turns to haunt him.

  He found her so intimidating he didn't want to make her mad. He knew it was better to be honest especially with Briar.

  – He just wanted to talk to me – he shrugged

  – About what?

  – The next lacrosse training – he said and pointed at Aly discreetly

  – What about the lacrosse training? — Aly tilted her head to a side

  – The schedule to stay after class, I'll have to run back home because I always forget my kit

  – But I thought you wanted to leave the team – she protested

  – I do Aly but it is complicated

  The bell rang and he took the girl of the gold eyes by the hand as her sister took her backpack to walk to the next class.

  They took their seats and Briar took out her sister's laptop to put it in her desk and left a pair of headphones in the middle of the keyboard in case she might need them.

  – Hands-on – she said –. Start preparing yourself – Briar saw her sister touching the keys to turn it on, she admired her little sister so much

  Then, she caught Finn looking at them and took her phone out of her backpack quickly and pointed at it looking at her friend.

  – Thank you

  – No problem – Briar said opening the text messenger

  "What exactly did he say about Aly?" She typed and sent, his phone vibrated in his hand not long afterwards.

  – Are you ready?  – Finn asked

  – Yes, what about you two?

  – We're too lazy to take the stuff out right now – he answered

  "Well, he thought that my idea to do some activity with Aly and you over the weekend was some sort of tactic to hook up and he separated me to tell me that Aly is his" He finished and hit send, she looked up at him and shrugged.

  Briar rolled her eyes and turned to her sister

  – We still have a few minutes left. Do you want to leave a message to Terrence?

  – Yea hit it

  – It's recording

  – Big bro. It's me, Raven. I just wanted to tell you that we miss you and we hate you for leaving us alone so you better make us proud. Xo

  – Where is he again? – Finn couldn't help but get curious when Briar laughed and sank the phone in her backpack, he knew thanks to Briar that they had a brother a few years older but he didn't know where he was

  – That must be nice

  – Yea, he's happy to be there but we miss him so much – Briar frowned

  – I wonder why he went because you seem to be very fond of each other

  – You see, he's finishing his bachelor of visual science and since my sight became affected he’s got the crazy idea of specialising in ophthalmology in order to find a way to make the first cataract-removal surgery in this part of the world since they've only done it in the United States and get my sight back

  – Can I meet him when he comes back? I think we can be good friends

  – Sure if you can wait for the end of the year

  – Hey, I can be very patient if I want to! – He protested

  – He wants to get her sight back so freaking bad, and doesn't want her to lose her lovely eyes, he loves them – Briar testified

  – We have something in common – he smiled as Aly blushed

  – Brighton ladies, Mr. Jaspers – the teacher greeted the only students in their seats

  – Good morning miss – they said back as their classmates started coming in after hearing the bell

  The twin sisters made the last trip of the day to the locker, more than just eager to get home.

  Aly wanted to recover hours of be
auty sleep and Briar wanted to read. They didn't have homework or exams soon and time is money so they wanted to get the best of the rest of their day.

  – Are you two ready to go? – Bastian asked and Briar clenched his fist

  – Yea but we'd like to go walking today

  – That's nonsense, I'll take you home

  – No thanks – she took a step forward with her sister's hand in the shoulder

  – I insist

  – Let's go with him, I'm tired and I'm sure I'll end up with a sunburn if we walk – Aly intervened and Briar almost wanted to slap her, with tons of love. She just didn't want him close to her little sister

  – Majority wins, darling – he smirked and took her backpack

  – Fine – she rolled her eyes and walked next to him with Aly behind her

  They walked out of the building to find Finn and Rae near his car

  – They're ours tomorrow, okay?

  – I really doubt it, mate – Bastian winked opening the door for Aly in the passenger seat

  – The hell is up with you guys?  – Briar asked

  – We don't want you to walk so much

  – It won't hurt – Briar protested

  – Nonsense – Finn intervened

  – I'm in favour of them, I don't want to walk – Aly said putting end to the conversation –. Take us home, please – she squeezed Bastian's hand.

  She was pretty eager to go home and rest and was aimed to use her sweetness to get a ride home as soon as possible.

  Finn's jaw almost dropped to the floor but he was able to stop it. What just happened?

  How is she grabbing a filthy bully’s hand?

  Thinking so furiously gave him a headache all of sudden.

  Alyssa is just too cute and polite to tell him to fuck off. She'd lose the rides home!

  Of course he couldn't replace Bastian since he didn't offer first, he'll have to talk to Briar.

  – Fine then, I'll see you tomorrow – he kissed Aly's cheek and helped her get in the car, then he turned to Briar –. Take out your phone, okay? – He whispered in her ear and kissed her cheek, Rae had the door open for her already

  – Bye – she waved as Bastian started the car's engine

  "A friend of the lacrosse team will help us make Aly wishes to stay as far from Bastian as possible. This will be the last time he takes you home" Finn texted maliciously

  – So what's the plan for the weekend? – Bastian took a seat behind Aly

  – We're totally in but we must ask for permission

  – Why's that? – He asked

  – Well, since our brother isn't here to protect us mom and dad had been pretty overprotective

  – Sure, ask for permission – Finn said –. We don't want future problems since, well – pause –. I intend to see you two on the weekends

  Bastian just looked at him and rolled his eyes and like that, the conversation was cut by the teacher who was starting to explain their task.

  – But Finn, you aren't contemplating the game – Bastian said as he was taking his notebook to go

  – I'm not even in the line-up, besides I'm planning to leave it

  – Why? C'mon, it's a good sport

  Right there, Aly remembered what happened on their first day; those guys getting locked up in the lockers by Bastian, Tobias, and friends who were casually part of the lacrosse team.

  – Is being a bully a good sport too? – Aly pursed her lips and Briar stood up and took her arm to stand her up as Bastian stood there speechless –. That's what I thought

  – What are you talking about, Aly?

  – Let's go Aly – Briar took her sister's arm

  – Yea, let's go – she nodded –. I don't want to be late

  – Aly… – Bastian tried but the twins walked away

  – She'll never be yours – Finn said and started to walk

  It was time to go home and Bastian saw the twins leaving with clenched fists as they hopped in Rae's car.

  – What's your problem? – Tobias was inquisitive as he was staring at his friend's movements

  – I hate Finn

  – Why would you hate him?

  – He's turning Aly and Briar against me

  – Why do you care?

  – I want to know Aly better

  – Good luck with that, Briar won't let you – he shook his head –. She's like a lion when it comes to her sister

  – Speaking of which – he looked at his friend –. What did you do to her?

  – None of your business

  – C'mon, I need to know to make sure I don't get to do it

  – No, you're too nice to do what I did

  – What did you do to her, Tobias?

  – I'll tell you on the way home – he noticed that Bastian didn't take the car

  Tobias and Bastian walked home together since their houses were located just a block away.

  The first mentioned tried to stay silent but the latter couldn't bear the silence.

  – Well?

  – I hit her in the face and caused an injury in her knee – he looked down full of shame and his friend was beyond astonished

  – I beg your pardon?

  – You heard me, don't make me repeat it

  – Why did you do that?

  – Let us just say that I had older friends and I used to drink and smoke like them to feel cool – he shook his head and winced in pain as if the simple memory hurt him –. I don't want to talk about it that still haunts me

  – So you were the reason why they transferred

  – Yes, I never really had the chance to apologise directly to her, her parents threatened with a restriction order

  – And why don't you talk to her now that you're in the same classroom as her again?

  – If you haven't noticed, she doesn't even look at me and gets tense when I'm around

  – I'll do it when she gets used to my presence

  – Do you think she will?

  – I can wait until prom – Tobias stopped in their usual separating point –. See you

  – Bye mate – they made their handshake and then made their way to their respective houses

  After making sure there won't be problems with touching some animals, Finn invited the twins to the zoo and then to his last game of lacrosse so they could cheer for him.

  Briar woke up early to take a shower and get ready so she could help Aly and be on point when their friend picks them up at 10 am sharp.

  They spent half of their day in Doonside with animals Aly could touch safely.

  The girl of the blue eyes was grateful for Finn's gesture, how he found something to do with Aly, that didn't make her feel like she wasn't part of the fun for her different sight condition.

  Briar loved seeing her sister feeling the fur and cuddling with and also feeding animals putting the food in her hand. She loved Aly's giggles when rabbits and goats licked and touched the palm of her hand with their nose.

  And Finn, he liked to see Briar without that stern look she has in school, their smiles didn't make him regret for one second the fact that he woke up early on a Saturday.

  The trio got on the way back to Sydney two hours before the game listening to an audiobook he bought as he was thinking of activities for Aly so she could feel included.

  The twin sisters found a seat right behind the bench, as Finn knew he wouldn't play in the first part, he decided to make his plan come true.

  – Hey

  – What's up?

  – Want to help me telling my friends the truth about Turner? – He pointed behind him

  – Sure, why not? – The lacrosse teammate turned to see the twins Bastian won't shut up about –. Hey girls, I'm Jesse – he didn't really know how to act around a young person with cataracts but he tried his best to be normal even though he was nervous

and I'm Briar

  – Nice to meet you both – he said and then looked at Finn, who nodded –. Well, since I met Bastian he's been a bully along with Tobias and they've been betting on who goes out with this girl or gets to touch the breasts of that girl or who gets laid with that older girl since they became friends with the captain and yea I mean, more than the half of female population have fell in their claws because they put the charming and caring show but after they get what they want they go to the next one and the next one and you know, if Bastian doesn't have her number he asks for it and on Saturday he takes her to his house knowing his parents aren't home and then afterwards he tells her to leave and to never talk to him again then he blocks her number

  – And you think they want to do the same with us? – Aly asked

  – Well… – his mind went to the lockers after yesterday's practice when he stayed tying his shoes a long while just to hear a juicy conversation in which Bastian says that he wanted to know Aly better, he didn't think Turner meant in the right way –. Let's just say that you two shouldn't hang out with somebody from the team, well except but Finn

  – This is my last game

  – Except but me, then

  Near the end of the half time, the twins said goodbye to Jesse and thanked him for his advice as it was his and Finn's turn to play.

  The school population enjoying the game cheered two minutes after the second part began.

  – Who scored? – Aly whispered at her sister as she clapped distractedly

  – Finn

  – Let's go Finn, woohoo! – Aly shouted and people didn't look at her weirdly or stayed quiet, something that Briar silently thanked, instead everyone cheered for Finn and applauded

  Finn was concentrated with his head in giving the team a winning score for the last time and smiled widely when he heard that the adorable girl of the amber eyes raised her voice to cheer for him and gave himself the task of scoring again and dedicate it to her even if her sight was blurry. Bastian, on the other hand, was so distracted the ball was taken away from him when he was about to pass it to Anthony, he apologised out of his mind unable to understand why he couldn't get along with the twins just as good as Finn and Rachael.
